As they delve into the case, they discover that the victim was in Miami not just to enjoy the warm weather; he was celebrating his son's 17th birthday. Meanwhile, in Memphis, chaos erupts during a high school dance when gunfire erupts. Sergeant Kevin Lundy is tasked with uncovering the shooter responsible for targeting a car outside the school, which leaves one teenager critically injured and another dead at the scene.
