May 14, 1963 Season 4 Episode 29 Drama, Crime

In January 1933, Chicago buzzes with activity at Danceland, where a sign promises "30 girls, open until 2 a.m." Inside, patrons chat with the dime-a-dance girls. As Hoofer Ellie Haskell bids farewell to owner Marty Pulaski, she is suddenly shot by a sniper perched on a nearby rooftop—it's Herbie Pulaski, Marty's troubled brother. Lt. Roy Gunther takes charge of the investigation, questioning Marty, who holds a 20% stake in the dance business. Marty suspects that his main rival, Vince Bogan, who controls 80% of the racket, might be behind the attack.
