A young Marine loses his life in Iraq, but he was previously under investigation by police for the murder of a girl from his hometown. While examining his belongings, authorities discover the girl’s body. The local police are convinced that the corpsman is the killer, but Gibbs has faith in his innocence and is determined to clear his name, enlisting the help of Faith Coleman in the process.
