On his way to school, Koichi inadvertently rides over a bag lying in the street, only to discover it contained a cat. Shocked and distressed by the incident, he’s taken by surprise when a man named Tamami Kobayashi appears. Although it was an accident, Tamami insists that Koichi pay him money to cover the cat's burial expenses.
