Samantha is devastated as her mother’s battle with pneumonia and a wound infection takes a turn for the worse. Struggling to face the reality of her mother's impending death, she delivers a shocking revelation to Jared that leaves him reeling. Meanwhile, Ben becomes suspicious of foul play when a young bystander heroically saves an alcoholic from a raging warehouse fire.
