S1E3 The Magdalen Martyrs

Galway private investigator Jack Taylor is approached by the daughter of a former Magdalen Laundries inmate, seeking to uncover the identity of a notorious ex-nun known as Lucifer, who took pleasure in tormenting the girls. Just as Jack begins his investigation, he faces a warning from local tough guy Bill Cassell. He soon uncovers missing files that could have identified Lucifer, indicating a potential cover-up. Complicating matters further, Jack links the nun to the execution-style murders of two young men, suggesting a vendetta against Lucifer’s nephews. When Jack inadvertently causes the death of one of Bill's henchmen, he finds himself pursued by both the police and Bill. With time running out, Jack must prevent a third murder while preparing for an inevitable clash with Bill.
