The discovery of a burned body in the trunk of a car in the suburbs prompts Berthaud's police unit to respond, joined by prosecutors Roban and Clement. This marks the beginning of an investigation that leads the team deep into the troubled, gang-dominated neighborhoods of Paris, ultimately bringing them back to the enigmatic lawyer Josephine Karlsson's doorstep once again.
