Kelly opens up to Brenda and Donna about her mother’s unexpected pregnancy, but they struggle to keep it to themselves. Meanwhile, David reveals to Donna that Mel is thinking about proposing, only to discover the news about the pregnancy shortly after. He chooses not to inform his father, who remains unaware of Jackie's situation. Feeling that Mel's intentions are driven by obligation rather than love, Jackie decides to break things off with him. The episode features the song "All 4 Love" by Color Me Badd, which topped the charts in 1992.
