Episode Overview
Phil sneaks off to meet a girl instead of fulfilling his patrol duties, coinciding with a burglary at a pawn shop in Ashfordly. After receiving a tip, Nick discovers the stolen items are stashed in a storage unit registered under Phil's name. Realizing someone is trying to set Phil up, Nick faces a setback when Blaketon suspends him while investigations continue. Meanwhile, Greengrass becomes entangled in a betting scam, orchestrated by a local man named Scarman, who plans to swap one greyhound for another. Nick soon learns that Scarman's girlfriend is the very woman Phil is seeing. Although he can't directly link Scarman to the setup, there's enough evidence to clear Phil and apprehend Scarman, with the woman confirming Phil's alibi during the burglary.
