Episode Overview

After Jackie Warren's husband reveals his mid-life crisis and infidelity, she resolves to forge a new path for herself. Transitioning from a life of luxury, she enters the workforce and secures her own home. Jackie moves into a quaint but modest house owned by Marion Hill, a former football star whose career ended abruptly due to an accident. To support his training for a comeback, he rents out his main house to Jackie and her two kids while living in the garage apartment. The shared kitchen becomes their bonding space. With limited legal experience, Jackie lands a position as a legal assistant for the assertive attorney Heather Comstock. Meanwhile, she grapples with finding childcare and, despite her reservations, her dramatic daughter Tiffany and intelligent son Austin persuade her to give Marion a chance.
