Instead of a traditional finca, their architect son envisioned a striking modern glass box, encased by vibrant, interconnected rooms and shielded by a massive citadel wall. Building the home was fraught with challenges, as they relied on a local builder inexperienced with such designs. The community was not supportive, and even the mayor wanted it painted white.
