At school, Joy finds herself torn between defending Bonnie, a girl in a wheelchair, and following what everyone else is doing. Just then, Superbook transports Joy, Chris, and Gizmo to the past, where they witness Queen Esther bravely advocating for the Israelites. Inspired by Esther's courage, Joy gains the confidence she needs to confront Janice and the Girls' Leadership Club.
