Maya finds herself struggling with writer's block as the deadline for her second book looms, leading her to dodge her manager's calls. Soon after, she receives troubling news about her pregnancy, with her doctor urging her to slow down. Ignoring this advice, Maya continues to push herself. Meanwhile, Joan faces challenges trying to convince Lynn to lease her apartment. At the same time, William and Monica confront the growing disparities in their relationship.
