Troy Baxter is found trapped under a car at his property, prompting Barry to accuse Tom of responsibility. While most officers dismiss Barry's claim as grief, Nick starts to suspect there might be some truth to it. As Jonesy, Ben, and Susie settle into the new station, PJ and Nick turn their attention to Cal Millic, whom Tom believes is merely a distraction. Meanwhile, fresh-faced Probationary Constable Kelly O'Rourke arrives, eager to make her mark. The daughter of a fallen officer and an old friend of Tom's, she tries to express her condolences but ends up being reprimanded by him, realizing he's not the same man she expected. Grace's autopsy reveals she was raped before drowning, a fact Tom wishes to keep from the press, but it leaks anyway. During a routine stop, Jonesy and Susie pull over a speeder, discovering it's enthusiastic Probationary Constable Joss Peroni.
