As Charlie's life teeters on the edge, Alex and Dawn clash over who should have the authority to make legal decisions for him. However, they must set aside their differences when they find themselves working together in the operating room for a heart transplant. Meanwhile, Charlie is not interested in engaging with the heart donor, who happens to be a deceased inmate.
