S9E4 Cleared for Disaster (USAir Flight 1493)

On February 1, 1991, tragedy struck when USAir Flight 1493 collided with a parked SkyWest Airlines plane on the runway, resulting in the deaths of 34 individuals. The disaster occurred due to an error by an air traffic controller, who inadvertently directed the arriving Flight 1493 to land on a runway occupied by SkyWest Flight 5569, which was preparing for departure.
