On November 19, 1996, United Express Flight 5925, flying under Great Lakes Airlines, touched down at Quincy Regional Airport but tragically collided with a light aircraft that was taking off from an intersecting runway. This catastrophic incident resulted in a fire that claimed the lives of all 14 people aboard both planes.
