The team investigates the strange case of a high school senior who suddenly loses consciousness during a field trip. While hospitalized, she experiences persistent hallucinations. After trying various treatments with no success, House decides to take a bold step by observing her cognitive patterns in hopes of finding answers. At the same time, Taub reveals some personal issues at the office, while Wilson works on decorating his new condo.
