Mister Rogers' Neighborhood (1968)
Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, created and hosted by Fred Rogers, is a beloved children's television series that first emerged as Misterogers on CBC Television in 1963. It transitioned to the Eastern Educational Network as Misterogers' Neighborhood in 1966, and made its U.S. debut on February 19, 1968, airing on NET and PBS until August 31, 2001. Although primarily targeting preschoolers aged 2 to 5, PBS emphasizes its universal appeal. Produced by WQED in Pittsburgh and Rogers' non-profit, Family Communications, Inc., the organization was rebranded after his passing as The Fred Rogers Company.
