Arctic With Bruce Parry (2011)
S1E2 Greenland
Bruce Parry travels to the remote northern reaches of Greenland, where the last traditional Inuit hunters reside. He witnesses the harsh realities of life and death during a seal hunt and discovers how climate change jeopardizes their age-old traditions. While the warming climate poses challenges for the hunters, it also opens up new prospects for others. As the massive Greenland ice sheet recedes, valuable minerals are being uncovered. Bruce teams up with a mining crew poised for a significant discovery. Greenland is transforming rapidly, but will there still be a role for hunters in the Arctic of the twenty-first century?
