At a strange and horrific crime scene in Los Angeles, beat cop Matt Parkman hears the desperate pleas of a lost little girl, though no one else can. Meanwhile, Claire nearly exposes her hidden talent when she discovers that her tape of a failed injury demonstration has vanished. Struggling with her sanity, Niki awakens to find herself surrounded by the bodies of vicious thugs in her garage, just as Social Services questions her about her son, Micah. In New York, office worker Hiro continues his investigation, while Nathan confronts Peter about his recent fall from a building.
