Episode Overview
Richard and Raymond take on the case of 16-year-old Serena Feldman, who urgently needs a heart transplant from her incarcerated father, her only suitable donor. However, Serena's aunt opposes the procedure due to the father's past crime of murdering Serena's mother. Claire steps in to assist both Serena and the judge in a bid to secure the transplant. The situation escalates when Serena's father, fearing his daughter's fate after Judge Hall denies the request, takes his own life. Meanwhile, Maddie gets caught smoking and confesses to Victor that she aimed for a suspension to skip father-daughter day at school.
