After their wedding was called off, Brandon and Kelly find themselves together for one night. Brandon feels it was a mistake, while Kelly comes to the realization that she actually wanted to marry him. Feeling isolated, Brandon seeks solace at Kelly's place and ends up staying over but later turns down her idea of a honeymoon, expressing his desire to move forward. Meanwhile, Valerie's HIV test comes back negative, leading her to adopt a brutally honest approach that frustrates those around her. David follows her lead and confronts his boss, resulting in his dismissal. He suspects Valerie is distancing herself as a form of self-punishment and is shocked when she reveals that her father's death was not a suicide; she killed him. Donna defies Noah's wishes by accepting an invitation to dinner with his parents on Mr. Hunter's birthday, which turns out to be a disaster, just as Noah had feared. Later, Noah's father comes to the club and drops a bombshell about his company.
