Episode Overview
Dylan's father is arrested, resulting in all his financial assets being frozen. Unwilling to spend his summer in Hawaii with his unreliable mother, Dylan suffers an injury while surfing. Cindy steps in to help him during his recovery, which doesn’t sit well with Jim and Brenda. When Jim discovers Dylan and Brenda sharing a kiss, he demands Dylan leave within two days. That night, Dylan sneaks out and takes refuge in a cabana at the beach club. Brandon finds him and persuades him to come back to the Walsh house, where Jim helps him confront his emotions about his father. Meanwhile, Kelly goes on a date with a charming classmate, only to feel disheartened when he reveals his confusion about his sexuality. Donna and David have to perform a scene from Romeo and Juliet for their acting class. Music: "You Are the Everything" by R.E.M.
