When the remains of a Nazi supporter are discovered, all eyes turn to Jacob Levine, the son of a Jewish butcher who suffered at the hands of the deceased. Wambaugh steps up to defend Levine, but he’s taken aback to discover that the prosecutor is none other than his estranged son, David, with whom he hasn't had contact in years.
