Episode Overview

Sherlock Holmes finds himself in hot water with his landlady, Mrs. Hudson, due to his unpaid rent. His friend Dr. Stamford proposes that Holmes find a roommate and introduces him to Dr. John Watson, whom Holmes quickly deduces is a former army doctor. Mrs. Hudson is sufficiently impressed to agree to Watson moving in with Holmes. Soon after, Inspector Lestrade from Scotland Yard shows up and arrests Holmes on suspicion of murdering Count Drebber.
