In 1968, Ruth and Paul clash when they learn that having more children is not in their future. Fast forward to 1987, Eddie stumbles upon fascinating information about Alice, while Scott, who is becoming more withdrawn, suffers a seizure. Meanwhile, in 2010, Ruth is taken aback to find out that Nisha plans to name her baby after Alice.
