Balki has successfully completed his Citizenship test and is on the verge of becoming an American citizen. To celebrate this milestone, Larry invites Balki's mama (Bronson Pinchot in a dual role) to America for the swearing-in ceremony. However, when she learns that Balki plans to remain in the U.S. permanently, she becomes furious. This revelation forces Balki to consider returning to Mypos, creating tension between his dreams of a new life and his family’s expectations.
