Tootie accidentally catches wind of a confidential conversation between Blair and Jo regarding Nancy's boyfriend and lets it slip, igniting a confrontation between Nancy and Blair. This fallout causes Blair to ignore Jo completely. Meanwhile, Tootie misinterprets Mrs. Garrett's condition, thinking she's intoxicated when in reality, her dilated pupils from an eye exam have her feeling a bit unsteady. The false rumor of Mrs. Garrett's supposed drunkenness threatens her job security, adding to the chaos in their lives.
