Meanwhile, C.J. and Jim attempt to connect over drinks after Cate urges C.J. to take his grandfather out, who is feeling down after receiving a breakup letter from his wife. In another part of the household, Kerry frustrates Bridget by dyeing her hair blonde, which leads to a confrontation after Bridget expresses her feelings that the spark has disappeared from her relationship with Kyle.
