Jim cleverly evades Whelan by taking refuge in the overhead tunnel pipes, where he discovers a list of Whelan's bookies. At the same time, Barney, disguised as Richy, battles through several matches, aided by a hidden gas emitter located in the corner of the ring. In a climactic showdown, Barney confronts Buckman's champion, Staczek, who is supposed to win. Defying the orders, Barney knocks Staczek out, causing Buckman to face financial ruin as he scrambles to cover the bets placed on the fight.
