Ellenor is summoned to serve as co-counsel for Ray McMurphy, a murderer determined to represent himself in his upcoming trial. The proceedings quickly spiral out of control, with McMurphy resorting to extreme measures to avoid returning to prison. At the same time, the firm rallies around Bobby as he transitions out of the hospital, grappling with the trauma of his recent victimization.
