Her lifeless body is discovered in the canal, marked by severe wounds to her neck and abdomen. The investigation points to Felix Garwood, an astrophysics professor who recently ended an affair with Rose. Complicating matters, Felix is married to Philippa Garwood, Rose's academic supervisor.
