After suffering the loss of her baby from a horse accident, Krystle discovers that she is unable to have more children. Meanwhile, Steven and Sammy Jo start a romantic relationship, but when they are at his cabin, he struggles to connect with her physically. Jeff decides to leave Uncle Cecil's company and takes a position at Denver-Carrington. Fallon continues her secret liaison with Nick Toscanni. In a moment of vulnerability, Steven confesses his love for Claudia and proposes, but she turns him down, revealing her lingering feelings for her husband. Fallon confronts Nick during a visit to Krystle's hospital room, expressing her anger and suspicion about their relationship.
