In 1962, the serene town of Granite Flats, Colorado, finds itself shaken when a section of the army base detonates. Is it the result of a Soviet strike or something more sinister from within? The arrival of ominous men in dark suits raises further questions, as does the secretive activity occurring at the local hospital. As three young aspiring detectives team up with the police chief to uncover the truth, they start to peel back layers of hidden secrets, forever altering the landscape of Granite Flats.
