With Maria gone, the café is in need of a new waitress, leading to some disagreement between René and Edith over the right candidate. Ultimately, Michelle from the Resistance steps in, bringing the petite Mimi from another cell to serve as René's bodyguard. Meanwhile, General Von Klinkerhoffen appoints a new aide for the Colonel—Italian liaison Captain Bertorelli.
