Episode Overview

Uncle Joe is thrilled about a new infrastructure initiative aimed at constructing a dam on Bleeker Creek, which will result in a new lake. However, Kate warns him that the hotel won't enjoy lakeside views; instead, it will be submerged underwater. Realizing the disastrous impact this will have on the Cannonball and her livelihood, Kate suspects that Homer Bedloe is orchestrating the scheme. To halt the project, she sets out to gather two hundred signatures for a restraining order. Just two signatures short, Commissioner Fletcher declares the lake plans will proceed. In a twist, Uncle Joe's dog ultimately comes to the rescue, saving the Shady Rest.
