Virgil finds it challenging to support Althea following her assault by a colleague. Darnell expresses skepticism about securing a conviction, as the attacker’s wife has provided him with an alibi. Virgil battles his rising fury when the perpetrator reappears to threaten Althea. Meanwhile, Gillespie makes attempts to persuade the wife to reveal the truth of the situation.
