Jay’s ratings are struggling, and with Duke considering firing him, he’s feeling down. Things take a turn for the better when he meets Alice and her daughter, Penny. Alice shares valuable insights on enhancing his show, and her suggestions prove effective. As Jay grows more interested in Alice, he learns that she’s in a relationship with someone she feels trapped with and wishes to end things but can’t summon the courage to do so.
