We're Broke, My Lord! (2023)

Koshiro Matsudaira enjoys a simple life in Echigo, cherished by his father, Sakubei, and their close-knit community. One day, an unexpected visit from Tanjousan Bun officials reveals a life-altering secret: Koshiro is the illegitimate son of Daimyo Ikkosai. To his astonishment, Ikkosai has abdicated his feudal lordship in favor of Koshiro. What initially seems like a stroke of luck quickly turns into a burden as Koshiro discovers the extensive debt plaguing the Tanjousan Bun, forcing him to confront the challenges of leadership and financial responsibility.
