Those few immigrants who embraced the truth faced persecution, with some hunted down and killed by their own compatriots, igniting a quiet, private conflict. Dirty Hearts unfolds as a thriller and love story narrated by the wife of a fanatic devoted to proclaiming Japanese victory. Gradually, she witnesses her hardworking husband transform into an assassin, and their romance slowly disintegrate.
