Overview

A young man departs from his family's sheep farm in the Australian outback to enlist alongside his fellow countrymen on the Western Front during World War I, driven by a desire to help end the horrific conflict. As he faces the harsh truths of trench warfare, he struggles not only for his own survival but also to protect his comrades. Drawing inspiration from authentic diary entries of local ANZACs, this feature film uncovers the lesser-known narratives behind Australia’s significant military triumphs.
