Ashes (2012)
Weerasethakul teamed up with Lomo, an Austrian camera manufacturer, and Mubi, a worldwide film platform, to create a piece for the debut of the LomoKino, a compact motion picture camera. In Ashes, he contrasts the closeness of his everyday life with the devastation of memories, while also reflecting on the more troubling aspects of Thailand’s social landscape.
