Overview

Darta, hailing from a poor background, faces rejection from the affluent parents of the woman he adores. In his desperation, he makes a deal with the Monkey King and partakes in a sinister ritual to acquire riches. Unfortunately, this dark choice inadvertently dooms his wife and child to a life filled with hardship. Drawing from Indonesian mystical traditions, this poignant tale delves into the relentless yearning to transform into someone entirely different and the lengths one will go to in pursuit of that dream.
