Barbershop proprietors Stan and Ollie spot a newspaper ad placed by a rich widow in search of a husband. Ollie sends off his reply and lands an invitation to her estate; Stan, finding his own letter never got mailed, decides to come along. Once there, the widow's unsettling butler warns them she's unhinged—jilted long ago by a man named Oliver, she now weds Olivers only to cut their throats. The two must now find a way out alive.
