Overview
Sapphire & Steel, a British sci-fi fantasy series, features David McCallum as Steel and Joanna Lumley as Sapphire. Airing on ITV from 1979 to 1982, it was produced by ATV and created by Peter J. Hammond, who initially titled it The Time Menders after experiencing a haunted castle. Hammond penned nearly all episodes, with the fifth co-written by Don Houghton and Anthony Read. The duo's intriguing adventures involve manipulating time and confronting supernatural threats. In 2004, the duo returned in a series of audio dramas with David Warner and Susannah Harker.
