Overview
Set in the chaotic Whitbury New Town Leisure Centre, The Brittas Empire follows the well-intentioned but hopelessly inept manager, Gordon Brittas, portrayed by Chris Barrie. Created by Andrew Norriss and Richard Fegen, this beloved British sitcom aired from 1991 to 1997, spanning seven seasons and 53 episodes, including two holiday specials. Renowned for its blend of farce, surreal humor, and dramatic twists, the show often featured outrageous scenarios, such as a disastrous royal visit. Garnering a loyal fan base and securing a spot in BBC's Best Sitcom poll, the series remains available on DVD.
