Never the Twain
Overview
A beloved British sitcom that aired for eleven series from 1981 to 1991, Never the Twain was crafted by Johnnie Mortimer, marking his only solo venture without writing partner Brian Cooke. Mortimer penned the first two series and contributed to select episodes in the eighth, while Vince Powell and John Kane took on the remaining scripts. The show features Windsor Davies and Donald Sinden as feuding antique dealers, alongside a talented cast including Derek Deadman, Zara Nutley, and Honor Blackman. Its title pays homage to Rudyard Kipling's poem, The Ballad of East and West.
