Overview
Top Gear Australia, an adaptation of the beloved BBC franchise, burst onto screens on SBS One on September 29, 2008, capturing car enthusiasts' attention. The inaugural season featured eight episodes, prompting a second season after strong ratings and positive advertiser feedback, which premiered on May 11, 2009. Following the acquisition of UK broadcasting rights, the Nine Network launched its own version in September 2010. Although the show concluded after its fourth season due to waning viewership, it made a triumphant return on May 17, 2024, with a fifth season debuting on Paramount Plus.
