The Aquabats! Super Show!
Overview
The Aquabats! Super Show! debuted on March 3, 2012, on The Hub, blending action and comedy in a unique format. Created by Christian Jacobs and Scott Schultz, who also brought us Yo Gabba Gabba!, the show features a whimsical take on the real-life comedy rock band, The Aquabats, founded by Jacobs in 1994. Viewers follow the band as they portray a quirky group of amateur superheroes tackling outrageous villains and creatures. With a nostalgic nod to the campy visuals of 1960s and 1970s children's TV and Japanese tokusatsu, the series combines live-action with animated shorts and musical performances.
